Sienna Cloud Creative: Art, Antiques, Vintage, Retro, and More...
Located in Troy, Alabama, this art and antique boutique existed initially for the creation and exhibition of original art by Johnson as well as vintage or interesting objects that he and his wife Lana have found or “picked”. With over 40 years of experience in creative enterprises ranging from illustration, print and web design, branding, advertising, and of course—fine art.
Although the “making of art” was the primary purpose of this studio, Sienna Cloud has quickly become a space for artist Jerry and his wife Lana to refurb, repurpose, or redeem found or displaced objects. Although our “redeemed” products can be found at local antique stores and boutiques, Sienna Cloud Studio at 113 N. Three Notch can be visited by appointment or during special “open” times to view the interesting and growing inventory.
Follow Sienna Cloud online via Facebook. Feel free to make an appointment to visit our brick and motor studio in downtown Troy. Either way, we love getting inspired by and hopefully be inspiring to our wonderful community. Thank you for viewing the various creative projects by Jerry Johnson and Sienna Cloud. All artwork displayed is copyrighted.

Message from Jerry Johnson
Born and raised in Oklahoma, I arrived in Alabama in the summer of 2000. And, like any Oklahoma dust storm, I brought my gritty past with me. The family and I carry our “can do, out-west, big sky, red clay” heritage with us (hence the name—Sienna Cloud). We came roaring into Troy full of excitement and expectation for a new experience in collaboration, community, and creativity. Our experience has been and continues to be all of these.
I was originally employed by Troy University as Chair of the Department of Art and Design and served in that role for a decade then later continued to serve Troy as a Professor of Design until retirement. My wife (Lana) and I continue to reside in our favorite village—Troy, Alabama. I have also been a professor at Oklahoma State University, Southern Arkansas University, and Miami International University of Art and Design.
As a long-time designer, illustrator, educator, musician, and artist, it has been my life's work to explore the impact of creativity and design processes for addressing life issues and obstacles. Granted, most times, a graphical or visual communication solution is the expected outcome. However, there is something grander that occurs when design thinking is applied to almost any situation that requires connecting ideas with people—Inspiring results and a shared experience! I LOVE IT!
